It is very common among celebrities to indulge in the drugs and heavy drinking, especially singer, which many believe give them the energy to perform on stage. In some instances, these supposedly role models take drugs and alcohol just for the fun of it. Those in the acting world are also not left out in this.

In Nigeria, it is an open secret that many celebrities take drugs and drink ‘irresponsibly’ all for the fun of it, which at the end of the day, endanger their lives.

Some weeks ago, a purported photograph of Terry G found its way on the internet, which generated mixed reactions, with many condemning him.

Speaking on Rubbin Minds with Ebuka on Sunday, the singer confessed that he was introduced into drugs by a popular actress, who he did not name. “I was introduced to drugs by a popular actress,” the father of one disclosed on the programme.

He also revealed that the controversial picture of him allegedly smoking a substance was not posted on the internet by him. “I never put up that picture of me smoking. I never liked that controversy,” the Benue State-born singer said.

Terry G is well known, apart from his singing, for his energy on stage.

The Oba of Benin has done what many consider to be a rare thing to President Goodluck Jonathan today.

Vanguard reports that The Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba Erediauwa, presented Red Egbeigbe, the highest Benin traditional attire to President Goodluck Jonathan today, Saturday 27th.

‘Red Egbeigbe’ is said to be the royal attire majorly worn by only Benin prince and princess on rare occasion like marriages. This, Erediauwa deemed fit to give to Jonathan when he paid a courtesy call to the monarch in his palace in Benin City.

The traditional ruler while presenting the royal gift revealed that he often see the president in dark-coloured attire, hence the need to add the royal gift to his wardrobe collections.

Erediauwa however congratulated the president for getting his party’s endorsement for second term. Earlier, the president had told the monarch that he was in Benin to attend the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South-South sensitization and unity rally.

President Jonathan who thanked the traditional ruler for the gift, promised to return to the palace when the campaign for his re-election begins.  It would be recalled that

The couple who celebrated their one year marriage anniversary two months back have cited irreconcilable differences. for their split.

Though the name, Francis Agoda may not ring a bell, but the name, ‘I Go Die’ will definitely send signals down spines. The top Nigerian comedian recently purchased two ‘mobile homes’ for himself and his rumoured girlfriend, Sharon, who also serves as his manager and PA.

While ‘I Go Die’ got himself a 16.5million White-Diamond Escalade Hybrid 2012 Model (Platinum Edition), he reportedly got a 6.5million Naira Range Rover Evogue for his girlfriend. The stand-up comedian is surely not investing his hard-earned money on automobiles alone as he also has huge investment in real estate.

The Force Public Relations officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, yesterday September 25th announced that a young girl found at the Mubi area of Borno state on Wednesday September 24th was one of the missing Chibok girls but the National Chairman of the Chibok Association, Dr Pogu Bitrus, is not so sure it's true.

Speaking with TheCable Nigeria, Dr Bitrus, said they are not sure the girl is from their community as her name is not on their list of the missing Chibok girls.

He said a preliminary medical examination conducted in a clinic showed the girl was pregnant but a definitive conclusion on her pregnancy status will be carried out in a proper hospital to confirm

"I was speaking Kibaku to her but she didn't respond. She was incoherent. She may be having mental issues as result of the trauma. When she was picked up, she was taken to a clinic, not a standard hospital where some test were carried out on her. From the test, it was said she is pregnant but that is still in the speculative domain because a qualified doctor has not confirmed she is pregnant. However we are still trying to establish if she is from Chibok because from our sources, the last name of the released girl does not tally with the surname of the person bearing the first name of the released girl captured in our records and whose father is a carpenter in Chibok so we are still trying to work out every detail" he said.

"I read a lot of books, so I got inspired by some of these books and also some societal challenges that affected me personally.
